Food & drinks

Two rounds of nibbles are included — a pub buffet at noon and a Thai buffet in the evening. The bar is open throughout, so you can buy drinks and order extra food directly from the pub.

What is a Kniziathon?

A Kniziathon is an open gaming event celebrating the games of Dr. Reiner Knizia — one of the world's most prolific board game designers, with over 700 published games. Throughout the day you can discover and play a wide variety of his games, from quick card games to longer strategy titles.

Common questions

• Do I need to know how to play any of the games?
  Not at all. All games can be learned on the day and I'll be around to guide you through it.
• Do I need to bring any games?
  No — all games are provided. Just bring yourself.
• Can I bring my kids?
  Yes! Children are very welcome — we expect them to head home around 3pm.
• What if my kids aren't into board games?
  No worries — there's no pressure to play anything. We'll have a craft table set up to keep little ones happy.
• Do I have to stay for the whole 12 hours?
  Not at all — come when you can and stay as long as you like.
• Is there anything to eat and drink?
  Yes — there are two included nibble buffets (pub food at noon, Thai at 8pm). Drinks and extra food are available to order from the bar throughout the day.
